I went to Petite Rouge on a Thursday. The house was quite packed. The performers do everything from serving alcohol to clearing glass ware. The place itself is beautiful with well thought out decor. The seats were comfortable and there's actually no bad seat in the house. The show itself was amazing and hot! Beautiful people dancing all around you, with singers that have wonderful voices and some acrobatics to boot. Every person on that stage was extremely talented. The show surely tantalizes the senses. You guys were spectacular! The singers were amazing and the costumes were out of this world. The performances were captivating and your artists truly looked like they loved the performances they were putting on and having fun. That’s so hard after over a hundred shows, congratulations for that as well. My partner is a circus artist in London and brought me to your show and I loved every minute of it. Highly entertaining and absolutely recommended if you like a good burlesque show. Great artists, high production value and the atmosphere is delicious. The entire ensemble was a joy to watch perform but the stand outs were little red, the belly dancer with excellent balancing skills, the two singers and the towering gentleman that just reminded me of officer Crabtree, yes, that is an allo allo reference. Beautiful show with an original, creative take on the Little Red Riding Hood story. Dancers, singer, and aerialists are all stunning. The costumes are divine! The Nutcracker Rouge at Théâtre XIV is easily one of the best and most unique shows I’ve seen in Brooklyn. The performances, costumes, music, acrobatics, and overall production are incredible. It’s intimate and immersive, so you feel much closer to the performance than at a traditional theater. The Nutcracker theme is completely reimagined into something artistic, playful, and visually spectacular. Such a fun experience and definitely not your typical night at the theater. I've seen their 'Petite Rouge' show twice now and it has me leaping through the streets into the subway home every time, I'll have to bring some guests next time. They are all very welcoming, from the security at the door, all the way to your seat and more. Every single person you see is multi-talented, one moment they can be pouring you a drink, the next moment they pull off an eloquent movement on stage in aesthetic fashion. To me it's a show that speaks to the various themes of human desire, both the 'good' and 'bad', but all part of what makes one whole. I have seen three shows from company XIV now and all were phenomenal, especially their latest installation “Petite Rouge.” Going to these performances is like seeing a concert, a dance performance, and a circus all in one. The space is charming and seductive and their drinks are very tasty! If you enjoy being mesmerized, seduced, cajoled into laughter, and stunned to silence by world class dancers, singers, aerialists and performers of all stripes, this is the spot for you. Being a date, bring a group, or see it for yourself. I will be back again and again!
